Why do people hate Danzo?

Facts: The Uchiha clan was trying to take over the village. There was no other way to prevent it than what he ordered Itachi to do...Would you trust Shisui (A Uchiha) in Danzos situation? Nope, you wouldnt.

Killed the frog to prevent Naruto from being captured by the enemy.

Wanted to get rid of Tsunade, because she was bad for the vilage (She is the reason Jiraya died, she couldnt do anything against Pain etc.)

So why do people hate him? Or what would you have done better?
Without him the village would have gone downhill.
