When Naruto fought Tonrei they were both obviously flying, Naruto even stopped mid air then flew at tonrei like a boss.

Naruto didn't lose RSM. This movie has been in production since the start of war arc or even before that. RSM was only thought of during the Obito fight when Kishi got high.

Naruto's the meeting place for all 9 Bijuu.

He called Kurama(by name) during the movie.

He could of easily met with all 9 bijuu, asked for their chakra, and entered RSM.

I guess KCM was enough.

No one here has proof that he lost it. It didn't state or show that he did in the movie at all. It rustles me hard when people keep saying he lost it in the last, no he didn't. Just because he didn't use it doesn't mean he lost it.

Yeah and then Sakura saved them, naruto a godtier got traped in a genjutsu.....canon movie.....
Movie didn't even have naruto use rikudo powers even before he got attacked by tonari (which drained his chakra, sakura replenished it)....

Kishi words were " tried to keep it as canon as possible" or along that line- someone find those interviews.

In another statement he said that the manga and movie are connected, and because that is the case the manga should be read to completion first. However, even if one hasn’t finished the manga it’s alright!

Well yea- if you hadn't read the manga till then end it had spoilers about the ending. But not reading manga wouldn't affect the movie watcher because for them that's the whole story.

So frankly for me only as much of it is canon as is in line with the manga, just like anime fillers. Rest is stuff to make movie believable.
