It bears remembering, the series is over. Why do people expect the world out of Boruto when the anime currently resembles Naruto SD more than any Part 3.

I don't even really want a Part III and am more than happy with slice-of-life / Naruto action. Give me tournament arcs, new jutsu, new characters and likeable genin going on adventures in a post-War world. Character conflict is something Kishimoto got AMAZING at in the late-game and 9/10 it's far more investing than mindless action or another big invasion/war arc in the attempt to try out-do the cultural phenomenon Naruto. Why try out-do it? Accept it as trying to do it's own thing in a recognised, established world.

Boruto: Next Generations so far has a lot of problems, yes but just have more fun with it! We have new characters! New designs and main/side cast people is a luxury we haven't had in ages on NB but until someone busts out a Chakra Avatar nobody cares about new characters to wank or start liking? It's a waste of new material, man.
Characters announcing other character's personality traits in detail treats the audience like they're morons but I for one am loving the small scale. Maybe it's just because I really loved Boruto: The Movie but I see no problem in retracing the Genin part 1 days with more likeable characters than we had at this point in part 1.

I'm not saying Boruto is great- because it's really not yet, even Boruto is still a bland archetype Naruto clone (since it's set before the movie where the majority of his interesting development takes place) but maybe before reading/watching any more...remember that Naruto ended on November 10th 2014.

We're lucky for whatever we get. SD was heart-felt & great in it's own identity and there's nothing wrong with smaller stories if you're not a power wanker.

Kind of ironic that you want a slice of life, but that's what Naruto SD is. Haha

Anyway I disagree. I feel like the story is tame, and I've enjoyed the episodes thus far. It's light, school stuff, mixed with factors that add spice too it.

It's the first arc so I didn't really expect much to begin with. But I'm liking the deeper interpretations of the next generation, since it takes place before the Movie.

Next episode should be fun! I don't think anyone is supposed to take the first arc that serious. It's just for fun IMO

No irony! I loved Naruto SD and I appreciate it for being it's own thing more than my love for the slice of life genre. Boruto is like a baby boy to me- i'll support it in whatever it wants to do with it's life as long as it doesn't try one-up his old man.

I actually seem to agree with you, it's got a bunch of flaws but as a whole i'm a fan. I think it's just the pre-Boruto time period I dislike, rather than the show. After 2-3 years of Madara/Kaguya nonsense, i'd take any 'light' character-driven material I can.

I think we have 2 episodes left before the academy arc is done. But tbh I dont think we are going to be dealing with post-movie characters..

Gaidens should be next.
Fillers will probably be incoming
And the WORST IDEA EVER, Boruto Movie rehash 3.0 please don't happen.

I might have to stop watching for a few months because of the waste of time

you mean like izanami loop that fodderized Kabuto????????
Never heard that one before! Neither do I care, Kabuto was a villain that had to be defeated.

Tobidara on the other hand? How do you defeat a villain if they don't exist |:

I'd take the animated Gaidens happily, hell even an animated Kakashi or Sakura hiden would do me find. Looool try integrate that, Boruto. (Bad Pitch: Boruto and the gang find old man Kakashi who gives them a storytime of the day he did 'Die Hard' on a blimp)

A Boruto 3:33 You Can (Not) Redo movie-rehash results in me insta-dropping the series and revisiting it out of curiousity a year or two later. It's that bad for me, seeing it again in Storm alone made me sick of it...and I didn't even follow the manga version.

sd was fodder
SD was charming asf, full of good character moments and was confident in being it's own thing.

It's anime also had a better ending than Shippuden did.

I can't stomach the Boruto Movie again dude.

The thought of it makes my insides wanna burst, like I ate something bad.
