Why do people do this?

Ok i realize i am doing it and may sound like a hypocrite but why do people make threads and dnt explain it in the title like someone will make a thread and the title will be something like ... or ? And it will be completly unrelated to the topic at hand. I personally think they do it just so they can get posts on it a.k.a post whorism. I realize i might sound like a total retard but :ghehe:

If the topic isn't interesting to most people or isn't controversial in anyway, people need these sort of titles for people to actually pay attention to their thread
