Why do people delete threads?

I made a thread about jman and oro with about 230 comments and it has completely vanished from my threads made and search bar, also from forum list and history.
I know why people delete threads because of fanboyism or biased posts but there was no need deleting my thread there was no disgrace or shame said to either charcters and btw jman=oro both prime form.
I am just annoyed by the people who are deleting threads why dont you warn first just before it gets wiped off NB, also me and my bro were in the middle of a contest so:sy:lost thought

I've seen plenty of threads that did not violate rules that were deleted though...

And your thread has probably been created so many times (could be a reason to be deleted)
Or there could have been too many argumentative and inappropriate comments within said thread.

sometimes a few threads are deleted for violation of rules, but mostly it happens when certain people can't take being put in their place.. so they bitch and moan to their mod friends and ask them to delete the thread for them.. u_u

You couldn't find the versus thread section for a versus thread which is posted routinely over and over again anyway? If you do not bother to read/follow the forum rules and find the correct section for your threads they may be removed/deleted and you may get infracted for it. People are warned multiple times and asked not to use any other section for versus threads but somehow they think that the rules are for other users and won't be applicable at them.

Who is this tuschi? Couldn't find her in member list though your IP prompted up a few names one of them was banned for abusing, insulting various user in various threads and VMs for months. Nice name this time around. Suits you so much better.

Thread is spam and full of insults to other members off of an arguement based on peoples opinions.
Thread is more or less now a spam thread.

I will just move it at once.
Problem solved with ease.

Rule of thumb. People have opinions.
People have the right to have opinions.
Most of the times you won't be able to change opinions of a person who strongly believes it.
Stop trying to provide arguments to prove them wrong.
Stop flaming people for not listening to you as again they have the right to have an opinion.
If people think Tobi was Obito, let it be.
Stop creating "I told you so" threads.
Stop creating "such and such are trolls" threads.

Be civil, engage in active discussion without the flaming and spamming.

End result. Thread stays alive. Section stays clean. More intelligent people will converse. More people happy.

Mostly this ^.

Those who derailed the thread and were engaged in such behaviour may still get infracted for their actions. People spamming thread just to derail a thread or starting flame wars to stop a decent discussion because they do not agree with the opinion of the other person get infracted. Any thread about Fanboys get deleted or closed as well.

Those found to be trolling the forums intentionally and deliberately maybe banned without any warning. We give warnings/infractions if only we believe that that user will pay more attention to forum rules and contribute to the community in a positive way. Once it is obvious that someone is here only to cause trouble why waste time writing PMs to them?

If you're up against tuschi, you must realise winning a debate is almost impossible, even if you're right. You just dont go there.
The only way to get even with tuschi is to poke her until she get mad and then apologize.
