Why do people believe Kakashi's hype yet question Hiruzen's?

So, many people believe that Kakashi's hype is credible and that he knows over 1000 jutsu, yet question Hiruzen's same hype, even though Hiruzen is a Hokage? I truly don't get it. Do you believe in Kakashi's hype and don't believe Hiruzen? If so, please state why.

Well he probably has learned 1000 jutsu. He isn't too hyped as we all know he will run out of chakra before he can use them all.

I honestly think Kakashi is severely over-hyped
he never seems to have any chakra

I believe both of their hypes. I like Hiruzen. But the people who cling to his nickname for hype and arguments are just childish.

We do not however have a large arsenal of jutsu from Hiruzen, and some of Hiruzen's hype is empty such as knowing every jutsu in the village which would be impossible seeing as how some need special requirements such as Aburame bassed jutsu.

Hiruzen seemed like a pathetic hokage and Kakashi well for a guy with 1000 jutsus he seems to do a lot of Kamuis and Raikiris, don't know why people take hype seriously

^ Put on that mustache right @ King Hashirama, I strongly believe that copying also makes you learn them. This is evident from Sasuke's feats. As for the OP, Kakashi's 1000 jutsus make no sense. The dude has such a small amount of chakra compared to higher tier ninjas. I don't know what to say. In my opinion, the hype for both of them is misplaced.

First of all, I personally don't question either.
But I think the reason is because Kakashi's hype isn't completely limitless AND he has a possible explanation for it. The Sharingan IS capable of copying and memorizing techniques. This is a stated fact from countless times. And Kakashi IS a very experienced shinobi, having served in multiple platoons, wars, ANBU, etc. Lastly, despite all the jutsu, he has his limits: he can only use the Sharingan so much before his body gets exhausted. This makes his hype not so out there.

Compare all that to calling someone a god of an entire society... Then kill them off in the first and only fight we've seen them in. It makes people unsettled with such a huge claim and so little to show for it.

Kakashi I believe because he is boss lol and cause he has shown quite a bit. He's shown mastery over three elements and a nice arsenal of jutsu

Hiruzen I kinda believe because he was string even at old age but we've seen nothing of his so called "god like prime".

Sharingan copies and memorizes the jutsus wich is the same thing as knowing them...in the manga kakashi can use raiton,suiton and doton+in the anime has also used katon even though his elemental nature is know to be raiton

Hiruzen died very soon and we only saw him fight once so...
