Unfortunately the world has individuals who "don't care for gays of their gender or just str8 up dislikes gays period" that reciprocate their dislike through homophobia while on the other hand you have individuals who just don't care for the lifestyle but don't necessarily hate anyone who has chosen to live in that lifestyle (Which sounds like you). Sadly some people cannot distinguish the difference between the two so it's just an L you have to take for the time being but I wouldn't anything take personal.

All I said was that, that doesn't make any sense and that he may be a closet f*g himself so he made this thread. As for why I don't want gays in my family, I come from a very homophobic and religious background, but if that did happen I wouldn't disown them or anything, I guess.

So you wouldn't want any gay relatives because your relatives would discriminate against them, or because you would? That's kinda sad either way, because you probably do have gay relatives that are likely closeted given the description you gave of your relatives.
