Playing video games doesn't make me a nerd, it just means I'm part of a growing cult of angsty teenagers. Though I figured I'd leave that phase by the age of 19, but it's cool. I'll get out of it one day.

I'm a nerd, I can live with that. From my experience so are most others spending their time on sites like these. I think socially inept people and shut-ins tend to gravitate more towards sites like these because interacting with others is impersonal and preferable to facing their apprehensions head on. Not to mention this is a forum about anime, whose culture is overrepresented by nerds.
