Always try to put the antagonist on the protagonist's level?


Like I swear, people just want to keep Naruto and Sasuke on the same level.. When its clearly obvious Naruto is gonna be the stronger one. While Sasuke will be the second strongest. Typical law of most shonen manga. Yet we continue to bicker about it why?

Why do Sasuke/Madara/Danzo fans get boiled up, if someone says Naruto/Hashirama/Hrizuen >> Sasuke/Madara/Danzo?
I understand if its the Naruto/Hashi/Hiruzen fans that get boiled up.. but villain fans tho...

I mean is it not true that the good one has always been superior by a whole level? lol.


People will try to bring in "feats", like as if they live inside the story and know the story's depth.


This isn't a rant, I just want to know the mentality that is behind us fans that drives us to do this. And I'm quite sure that I myself probably do this also.

Because main characters 95% of the time are static, boring characters who only do well because the series has their name on it.

It's the secondary/villain/antihero characters who have the true depth and hold our interests, and so we try to put them in the same league as the protagonist power-wise just to prove that point because most fans are 13 year old kids who only care about who can make the bigger explosion.

Well, the antagonists are usually stronger than the protagonist until the "End Game" sets in.

That gives a large enough window for the fans of the villains to parade around.

Because Rivals are supposed to be close in power. For example. right now (or before their deaths), Sasuke and Madara are stronger than Naruto/Hashirama.
