Why do characters shout out the name of their techniques while fighting?

Sasuke was able to quickly react and put up a defense against raikage's shunshin because of raikage's big ass mouth!!

see! look at top right panel. sasuke had no clue where raikage wasthen when you look at the left panel, raikage just yelled like a retard and sasuke obviously heard him so he put up a defense.

so if you really think about it, sasuke reacted to raikage's loud voice rather than his shunshin raikage could of had won that fight.
eg. with Kamui, Obito never does it. Only Kakashi says "Kamui!" when he tries to warp something.

characters need to shutupp while fighting.


so can we all agree that sasuke would have lost to raikage..If raikage didn't shout?

Doubt they really do. It looks like it but I doubt it is heared by the other characters. At least in the anime it more looks like thinking. Would be rather stupid if they shouted it out loud. Everyone would know what is coming. But if they did it fully silently, the reader wouldn't know what's going on.

As you can see. They do it only in anime. In manga words are not in bouble so it is not said out loud but it is there only for readers.

but i guess it doesn't have to be said all the time
naruto wanted to know the name of the rasengan technique before he learned it and jiraiya said he wasn't ready to know it yet

Yeah, Raikage should zip his mouth when shouting his technique. His voice has an annoying tune to it's vocal cord. Why do the shout? Because it makes the fight more lively than just confusing the reader.

dude, even if Raikage said "Sasuke, in 10 minutes, I will come at you with a lariat" and plot didn't exist, sasuke would still die.

This is how much that fight was based on plot rather than feats/expertise.

In the Narutoverse it is common practice to blatantly disregard the deffinition of stealth which is the key component to being a ninja.....I mean how do Ninjas even go to war in this fashion, and still think they are Ninjas .....closest thing to Ninjas are the Anbu or Root divisions
