Why do all rinnegan summons have the rinnegan eyes?

Why do all rinnegan summons have the rinnegan eyes?Its not the same with a normal summon,also some of them even have chakra rods embedded in them..why is that?

Because they are being physically controlled as opposed to volunteering. The summons are technically Nagato
