Why didn'y Danzo use Kotoamatsukami on Sasuke?

Because Sasuke has Indra's eye power and can break any Sharingan genjutsu, he broke Tsukuyomi without a Mangekyo. KA only seems OP because it was never used against high tier ninja, if Danzo used it the episode would've ruined Shisui's legacy.

Would've been a better way to take the story instead of were we went... Could've had Naruto as some missing nin who eventually fights Sasuke who took over after Danzou to become the new Hokage.

Kotoamatsukami is different from that... Itachi's genjutsu doesn't equal a move like Kotoamatsukami.

Hence why you can only use it again after a decade.

Nope, KA is just an MS genjutsu like Tsukuyomi and all genjutsu share the same weakness. Why do you think Sasuke was able to resist a RinneSharingan genjutsu without a RinneSharingan ? Because he had the chakra to do so, same applies with every dojutsu.


Sasuke has the strongest Yin chakra and therefore strongest eye power and most importantly strongest genjutsu affinity. KA was never going to work on him just like Kaguya and Itachi's genjutsu.

Likewise, Ashura incarnates should also have the ability to resist KA because their chakra rivals Indra's which means so should their kai release. They also have an unbreakable will.

He couldn’t at first But he was probably saving it for obito, he assumed he was gonna beat sasuke and have to fight obito after. If anything I give danzo props for being down to take on “madara” in a one on one

I think he thought that he could beat Sasuke w/o KA so he was saving it for Tobi. Not idea why he didn't use Ka in the end instead of suicide jutsu.
