Why didn't Tobito just gather the Tailed Beasts himself?

We all know that he stated to Minato "As soon as I get a hold of you it's all over" and he can teleport from one location to another, so why couldn't he just jump the jinchuuriki, teleport them back to his dimension and beat them/teleport them back to an Akatsuki hideout and have everyone gang*** em' at once? It would be much easier and go much, much faster.

One can only assume he was to weakened after Minato owned him? Don't rage, I'm just saying that if his Space/Time jitsu was on par/better than the 4ths then why would he not do this?

Obviously so that we could have a story/plot, but your thoughts?

Those were my thought too. Heck, Pain could have rpounded them all up himself in a day or two. smh. I guess they all have their personal lives and agendas as well, so the times we see Naruto and them chillin in the leaf, so where they somewhere else.

Everything was planned. It's hard to say what's better or what's not. But think about it. It's a big world here in the Naruto verse. Lot of places. The Tailed beast host were basically scattered around. Some even hidden. It would take a lot of Man power to find then in these distant villages. Tobi could only know so much. That's why he has other Akatsuki members to scatter and find information\knowledge. So far as of now in the manga. Things are going well for the Akatsuki.
