Why didn't Shikimaru...

i've been questioning this ever since the hidan vs asuma fight. If he's such a genious why didn't shikimaru walk over to the curse seal on the floor and simply wipe away the blood? maybe i'm missing something but i would think that would be the first logical choice, if you need to be in the circle for the jutsu to work...destroy the circle!!

The circle would probably have some sort of defence against people touching it, with the exception of Hidan.

Obviously not... when Shikamaru used shadow possession to make him get out of the circle his foot smeered it and the circle stayed there dude...

He didnt hav to take any risks,d blood mark isnt normal,ya'know..and i tink wen he pulled hidan out of d circle,hidan was pulled out with his feet dragging d sand along but still d blood mark didnt change..at least d sand wud make d mark lose its form a bit.bt notin hapened to d mark lyk it was stuck to d ground.

Also compare d quantity of blood dat hidan produces to d size of dat mark.dat mark is definitely abnormal

IMO Asumas death was part of the story so maybe kishi didn't think details like that were not so important
