Why didn't Shikamaru learn the flute jutsu?

I mean when Shikamaru was controlling Tayuya, Shikamaru was able to use the flute perfect and control the summoned monsters I wonder why Shikamaru never used that jutsu. Shikamaru by using the flute jutsu grants him summoning monsters and genjutsu.

I don't remember Tayuya being a Uzumaki, don't see what Uzumaki has to do here.

Shikamaru has to control his own breathing to control Tayuya breathing, so Shikamaru would just remember were to place his fingers and remember how much strength to blow.

Yeah but here Sakon's hair is dark blue...original manga or not - i've gone close to 5 years without ever seeing this picture, his hair is basically canonically grey.

What? A Sage-leveled ninja like Kabuto used this jutsu and it actually would've screwed over both Itachi and Sasuke had they been alone.

...Am I wrong? The anime changed it but every single media he's in it's been grey ever since. I don't use an early colour manga cover as bible law when the early covers always were off. Designs we'd never see in the series, giant elaborate weapons never used by the characters holding them etc etc.

Jussayin, all things considered- to me and a lot of people Tayuya has red hair and Ukon/Sakon have grey hair.
