Why didnt Sasuke absorb the Naruto's Att from the start?

I mean, with the Rinnegan, he can absorb even senjutsu based attacks. This was proven previously when Edo Madara absorbed Naruto's senpou cho odama rasengan.

That's only if you absorb too much in one go as attacks in the past with Jiraiya and SM Naruto have been absorbed before. It was only when Naruto forced Preta to take in senjutsu by both of them standing still that it worked.

Because he can't. It's been implied that there can be a limit to preta path, and Naruto and Sasuke have both fought Kaugya, who can use chakra absorption, with chakra-based attacks. On top of this, as seen with Madara, susanoo can't use chakra absorption.

Now, obviously, the rinnegan at full power has a much greater absorption rate, but it actually has a rate (as seen in anime that it takes a while), so if there's a powerful enough attack, it should overwhelm the rate. I seriously don't get that people are jumping to plot instead of thinking if this was beyond preta path's limit.

I've said one of my explanations in a post above this one, but Naruto has all the natural energy in the freaking world! It's unlikely that Sasuke, who's had no senjutsu training, could handle that much.

Good point. Even if edo Madara wasn't at full power, the attack he absorbed was nothing compared to the ones Naruto has been using now. If that puny RS was "a bit too much", then its makes sense even a fully powered rinnegan will struggle to absorb Naruto's attacks.
