why didnt Pein kill Danzo?

Maybe he didn't want to fight two villages at once.

There was so much time he could have killed danzo after he counqured the rain village. He could have killed him anytime between then and before he died which gives him a lot of time lol.

danzo is is at the hidden leaf village so if he went after danzo he would be attacking the village and tobi made a deal with itachi saying he wont attack the village so tobi said to pain hey man the leaf is off limits good day

Do you know how long ago Itachi joined akatsuki? He wasn't even in it when Pein was killing everyone so NO.

i dont think he would have succeeded in that he would have had to invade the village which means not only fighting danzo but the 3rd hokage when he was slightly younger, the sannin cause they were still in the village and minato and those arent odds he could beat plus kishi would have no way of explaining the destruction that would occur if these ninja fought

Yeah true, at the very least he would have much more trouble invading Konoha, but Pein's pretty OP and is a badass,

He was not ready yet at that time to take on a whole village where Danzo was residing. Later,his motive of wanting peace through fear became bigger then taking a revenge.

Pain should of killed him because Danzo worked for Hanzo. Kishi probably wanted Danzo alive for the plot but if Pain and Danzo did cross paths Danzo would be demolished.
