Why didn't Orochimaru try to steal a powerful body before trying to change to Sasuke?

You'd expect him to go after a powerful body like maybe jugo or even suigetsu with thier special abilities and Orochimaru's experience and jutsu mastery it would be deadly either way. With Jugo he could stay in DSM mode and with Suigetsu he'd be immune to Taijutsu.

I don't think he was able to. I believe Kimimaro was his intended person but that didn't work out for him.

Because he never fought tsunade before and wasnt sure if he could beat her. And he didnt know werr she was at.

Genyumaru was a desperate last minute decision. Jūgo and Suigetsu were probably not at the same secret hideout Orochimaru was in at the time.

Was genyumaru that female looking one? Was that body special in any way.

To put it simply, Orochimaru can only perform his body swap thing at a certain time. Kimmimaro was going to be the body he switched to before obtaining Sasuke, but due to Kimmimaro suddenly being on his deathbed that didn't work out for Orochimaru. As for Juugo, he needed Juugo for the researching of the Curse Marks. Suigetsu, I have no idea about that one.

I always wondered that too but i guess he can switch only so often

He can only switch once in 3 years... i think.
Besides, i don't think having Suigetsu's or Jugo's body would make a difference, he only lost because he was sick.
