Why didnt Obito use Sasuke's Sharingan to achieve Eternal Mangekyo?

It was the perfect oppurtunity, and even tough Sasuke was nearly blind, so was Itachi. That means that even if the eye is nearly useless, it can still be made an Eternal Magenkyo.

Its not like he hadnt got the time to do so, between the five kage summit and the battle with konan there was plenty of time to adapt to the new eye ,so why didnt he use it.

Sure, his kamui didnt damage his eye that much, but certainly implanting Sasuke's old eyes on himself would end up as a benefit for himself....so why, Obito...why?

Not sure, but I think it was in the Itachi vs Sasuke fight. He also stated that many tried to achieve the EMS mimicking what Madara did and failed, so there must be other stipulations

I looked it up but found nothing about this brother magenkyo rule. All i found is

"The tighter the blood ties are between the "donor" and the receiver, the better it is for compatibility, siblings for example."

But it dosent say that the donor needs specifically to be the person's brother, it only said that the compatibillity is better if he is.
