Why Didn't Obito Kill 7-year-old Sasuke???

If Obito assisted Itachi in the Ucihha Clan Massacre, why didn't Obito kill Sasuke? I mean, the goal was to annihilate the entire clan.

Not really sure why this has to be asked, but Itachi probably made a deal with Tobi (Obito) agreeing to give his un-compromised assistance in the massacre so long as Tobi spared Sasuke.

Itachi would become immensely powerful with anger if Tobi did kill him. (Usually Itachi is calm and collected, but imagine him with rage.) Tobi would not want to run the risk getting himself killed and I also believe he saw future potential as a pawn. He also mentioned merging Sasuke with Gedo Mazo a long time ago.

The reason was, as shown in Itachi's flashback genjutsu on Sasuke, that he would assist Obito in his revenge against the Uchiha, but the terms were twofold. The first was that Obito does not cause harm to the rest of the village as a whole, and the second was that he does not touch Uchiha Sasuke.

Obito never crossed paths with Itachi for fear of his secrets being discovered
and for fear of itachi he never attacked the village which was proven when he said

"now that itachi is gone the village is no longer off limits"....

This is actually a valid point. He probably knew that the Curse of Hatred would kick in later for Sasuke, giving him leverage to manipulate as he saw fit.
