Why didnt Nagato revive Yahiko using Rinne Tensei?

Rinne Tensei doesnt take your life away, Nagato died only because he drained ALL of his chakra, huge Shinra Tensei+Chibaku Tensei+Rinne at end, so RINNE TENSEI DOESNT KILL YOU. I dont understand why didnt he just revive Yahiko?

All Rinne jutsu's are at the exchange of another's life

Some jutsu REQUIRE you to have physical energy to initiate

Thats why Edo Madara could not summon Gedo or become its host.

Rinne requires you to be alive, go read when Chiyo used it on Gara

it's either because of plot, or because he didn't know he could do it at that time. at first there seemed like there was some sort of time limit to being able to be revived. but then we see that madara is able to be revived, so thats not true. actually, nagato could have revived yahiko at any time, as he still had his body intact, save a few stab wounds from chakra rods. so, most likely it was for plot reasons. also, yahiko wouldn't have agreed with what akatsuki was doing.
