Why Didn't More Uchiha's Have MS?

Most Uchihas that had MS gained it by witnessing a close loved one, or friend, die.

Are you telling me that a war bound clan didn't have friends die in front of each other all the time?

To me, it seems like loved ones would be dropping left and right.

Maybe the others didn't love strong enough or seeing so many die made death seem normal, thus deaths didn't cause a transformation.

They did, that's why Izanami/Izanagi was invented. Most of them had it, during the warring time. But as time grew the amount of people that had it dwindled to the point that it became rare. Or that's what I think.

that's the way I figured it.

I'd assume that before Madara's time the Uchiha were disciplined to suppress their feelings much like Sai and Root

which would explain why seeing family/clan die didn't trigger any emotional response and awaken the MS

Butsuma Senju thought dying for a clan was honorable....maybe the Uchiha felt the same

Awakening 1T sharingan alone took Sasuke seeing his clan get killed................so yeah, I'd imagine requirements for MS would be greater.

Was better when an Uchiha had to kill their best friends and become heartless killers. Too many good guys unlocked MS so Kishi had to change it. Now its losing someone close but why not every Uchiha who witnessed loved ones die in war?
Oh well Sasuke said he was gonna find his own way to unlock it so why not
