Why Didn't Minato?...

When he fought the Masked Man, why didn't he kill him when he had the chance? After the Level 2'd through him, why didn't he just slit his throat? Plot no Jutsu or is Minato too nice?

Minato was going for the kill against Bee, but Bee was prepared to strike back thus forced Minato to avoid a mutual strike.

If Minato wasnt going to spare Bee, he sure as hell wasnt going to spare the man who almost cut Naruto open, attacked Konoha and killed countless people, and cause Kushina's death in the end, and his own.


Minato simply didnt do it because he couldnt.... Tobito wasnt attacking anymore, he could have stayed in his 'phase through' form.... so you can say Minato didnt kill Obito because he couldnt.

What confuses me is how the hell Minato didn't know it was Obito. I mean, in Kakashi Gaiden he does the whole "sensor-finger to the ground technique" and spots the enemy ninja yet he can't tell it's Obito attacking him?

If he didn't just guess Madara I'd say Minato knew it was Obito and just couldn't kill his former student.
