Instead of breaking the contract between the Kyuubi and Obito why didn't he just Rasengan his face off? Maybe could've stabbed him with his kunai in the heart?

He could've easily done it considering Obito and him had a nice conversation while he was breaking the contract too. Minato could've saved the entire ninja world, but he decided it was better to explain what he did to Obito....
