Why Didn't Madara use...

When Madara was fighting the alliance and he put the guy that was about to slash him in the head in genjutsu.

Why didn't he use that on Gai when he was using night moth?
I believe there's a panel that shows them face to face. Up close..

Or why didn't he use almighty push in Gai it would've slowed him down drastically. Inflicting less damage on him.

Because genjutsu would easily defeat the 8th gate, and plot will not allow Gai to go down that easily.

Last time I checked Guy is trained against fighting Sharingan users so he's obviously not gonna do something like look into there eyes.

Night Guy was to fast for JJ Madara. He could have used the 6 Paths jutsu but then again apart from Pain no one else has used that jutsu. It is exclusive only to Pain and Kishi didn't want to repeat the same arsenal on others.

That shinobi who Madara used the genjutsu on was fodder, Night Gai is too quick for Madara's genjutsu hence why he was wrecking him. This won't work on Gai

Almighty push is basically full power ST, Edo Madara used BT to pull meteors and JJ Madara used CT so I don't see him having problems using ST or Almighty push. Kishi nerfed Madara is all; he wasn't using Susanoo as JJ Madara when he did use it with no eyes and with 1 eye pre-JJ.

Well, your constantly in pain during 8th Gate. It's possible the pain would break it. There is also the fact that the chakra flow is coursing at immensely higher velocity/intensity. That could result in the Genjutsu breaking as well.

The fight was good but I didn't like it because madara didn't attack gai not even once he just took all the hits. It should have been a fight where they were exchanging blows.

To be fair, it's not farfetched. Pain breaks Genjutsu, 8th Gate causes unimaginably intense pain. It's speculation that pain wouldn't break the Genjutsu.

That's not really contradictory. Genjutsu is overrated in that some people think there is no way to avoid it. The fact that Gai has is why that's an overrated statement, he was found his way around it.

This. Besides it is highly unlikely that madara had time to look in his eyes long enough to cast it, I mean gai was moving at a high speed.

Gai doesn't look at sharingan users in they eye when he fights. He looks at their feet.

I bet 8th gate gai can withstand an almighty push, if naruto+hella clones pushing can. And 7/8 tailed naruto could withstand almighty push
