I know its a little late to ask this, but why didn't Lee take off the weight's under his "leg warmers"? Because Guy/Gai clearly stated "when the lives of very important people are at risk" that he has the privilege to take them off. And if I recall just how strong Madara, the Juubi and Obito/juubito, I would think that's a good enough reason to take off the weights.
