Why didn't Kazekage Gaara aid the Leaf during the Pain invasion?

If he and Naruto were friends, why didn't he send the Sand shinobi to aid the Leaf? It was the least he could do for them reviving him and it would have made it a lot easier for Kakashi and Tsunade.xd Perhaps Gaara doesn't take pleasure in meddling in affairs of other villages? Maybe he wasn't aware of the most popular village in the world being under attack by the infamous Akatsuki's leader? Don't get me wrong, Gaara is one my favorite characters, but WTF? WTH

It all happened VERY fast, there was nor warning and he probably didn't even hear about it until it was done.

it all happened so quickly I doubt he would have been able to send anyone there and if he was it wouldnt make any difference. Pain woulda killed em all.

It happened too quick, there was no time to call for help.

There was An arc about it in the Anime. The Sand didn't hear about the Invasion until after it had already happened.

Because it was instant. They had to protect everyone, so it would be hard for them to send for help. Plus, it would've took like 2-3 days for them to get there - And the battle lasted like.. one day?

It happened without warning, and it would have taken Gaara's troops days to get to Konoha even if they did find out by which time Pain would have already destroyed the Village.

Everything happens extremely fast and the sand is pre ty far from the leaf so by the time that the sand got there they already started rebuilding

The invasion happened so fast and by the time Sand ninja got there, the village would have been destroyed.

Pein's invasion was literally a suprise attack. When they revived Garrrarara he was already captured and the leaf took time to get there.

It's not that Garra doesn't care, he just didn't know. It was a complete suprise attack

Well, I guess you guys resolved my question. Lol. I guess Gaara isn't a douche, after all.

Besides even though the sand and leaf were allied at the time, there was the whole "balance of power" thing to worry about. Announcing to the shinobi world that your village just got one-shotted isn't exactly cleaver, t.b.h.

It takes three days to get to Konoha from Sunagakure. The attack didn't even last a day.

Hypothetically, the outcome would've been the same. What is Gaara going to do? Help get raped?

And it would have caused more problems. Tsunade would feel obligated to try to save all the Sand shinobi, as well, and they couldn't have made any difference. Even if they could have teleported there.
