Sakumo Hatake was said to have been stronger than the Sannin. So why the hell didn't Kabuto bring him back to life with the Edo Tensei. It would allow interesting character development for Kakashi and we would get too see how strong he was. Plus it would have given Kabuto the psychological advantage over one of the most Effective/Dangerous Team captains of the Allied Shinobi Forces, i.e Kakashi.

Maybe Sakumo was cremated after death so Kabuto couldn't retrieve his DNA?

A few possibilities
1) He didn't manage to get DNA (most plausible one)
2) He didn't think of him *shrugs*

No, his soul was able to move on, Edo's are only summoned if there is still something the binds them to the world.
When Kakashi had his near death experience, he met his father, before he left he said he was finally able to join his mother. And moved on.

Not really, Zabuza and Haku seemed to have on and were still brough with Edo.

He would have gotten Fodderized like every other powerful Edo ninja.. why tarnish his overhyped Rep?

Not really, because Haku thought he failed zabuza, and zabuza died without ever getting to tell Haku how he really felt.
Remember Sasori? after he was able to move on, his edo crumbled. If the soul isnt lingering in the impure world, then they wont be summoned.

Hmm I don't think so. I once made a on this "state" that Kakashis father was in. I think it is the same as what happened to Sasori, his soul after his death wasn't able to move on either. But if you revive someone in edo tensei that has already moved on, the edo tensei is more effective. At least that was my conclusion..

Couldn't find his body perhaps. But the real reason is Kakashi is already getting his development from Obito so there was no need for another major Kakashi battle.
