Why didn't Izuna & Madara just Switch Eyes When They Both Had MS?

Even if they weren't losing sight yet having EMS would of made them both way more powerful and Izuna probably would have beat Tobirama

It would be impossible...

Both of them wouldn't be able to see if you think about it.

Madara gives Izuna his eyes. They both won't be able to see.

It is impossible due to either:

1) Fusing both set of eyes

or

2) One of the eyes turns in ghost form/spiritual form while others stay in physical form along with spiritual power within it. It allows both eyes to merge as only one stay in physical form so both spiritual powers of your sibiling and yours merge with each other within physcial one set of eyes.
