Why Didnt Itachi Kill Madara?

So im not quite sure if this has been posted or not, so dont flame me if it has. Anyways big question i want to know is why didnt itachi kill madara? like he tried with sasuke and the amaterasu thing. Im talking about why didnt itachi just confront madara and just steal him off or something.

Too risky.... Itachi didn't fully know what Madara was capable of ... so he wouldn't risk something like that + He's leaving Madara for Naruto ....

for one he wanted to know about any major plans that could be going on for the destruction of the leaf two if he did the rest of akatsuki would go after him three he didnt know what madara was capable of

if I remember correctly, Itachi implanted Amaterasu into Sasuke and he set him on fire, but Madara still got out of it

Simply put, Itachi couldn't.

In addition, he still had things he needed to do like confront Sasuke,

Itachi could not beat madara thats why pretty simple but itachi tried more than 1 method to stop him.

1.- As his disciple, im pretty sure he had a chance of beating him, dont know if stronger.
2.- He had plans for Sasuke, because he was about to die, and konoha needed an Uchiha hero to revive the clan.
3.- Madara had the whole Akatsuki to back him up, Itachi would end up dieing, and doing nothing for Sasuke.
4.- I personally would love to see that battle.

i dont think Itachi really knew how much Madara really knew about his true past plus remaining a rogue ninja and valuable member of the akatsuki gave him the freedom to both maintain his image of cold-hearted slasher of his clan and get to Sasuke and the leaf when he needed to

Itatchi could barley stand he was dieing from his illness, he'd never have won the fight and he didnt have enough intel on madara he probably assumed madara had EMS

First of all, Tobi is Tobi unless proven to be Madara. He's a masked man who claims to be the infamous Madara. For all we know, he could be Izuna.

Tobi himself stated that Itachi would have killed him if he hadn't kept "secrets' from Itachi.

Right after Itachi's death, Tobi is seen talking to Zetsu and he claims that Itachi was the biggest problem in his plan and now that he's dead, he can move forward with his plan.

That being said, we can only assume why Itachi didn't kill Tobi. Maybe he attempted to do it but Tobi got away? Maybe they had a deal? It was definitely not because he couldn't. Tobi was WEAK prior to him obtaining the Rinnegan from dead Nagato. Itachi himself stated that and so did Tobi.

So in another section of the forum they are talking about Itachi being able to take on Nagato and easily. Yet Itachi can't take on a Madara that almost lost to Konan give me a break. Madara wouldn't attack the leaf with Itachi being there so Itachi felt like joining him was the best option. Plus he could spy on what they were doing. Madara was the one that was afraid of Itachi.

like Madara said if he hadn't kept secrets itachi might of or would of been able to defeat him. plus itachi had to make sasuke avenge both his clan and the itachi. killing ur own clan, ur parent its very hard.

Itachi could have killed madera. Madera said so him self. He didn't because he was protecting the leaf and didn't know his plan
