Why didn't Itachi fight Madara

1. Madara hadn't been summoned when Nagato was out. Kabuto actually resorted to Madara after Nagato was defeated.

2. Even had Itachi gone to see Madara, Madara would have stomped Itachi. Itachi would stand no chance. Too many people on this base over rate Itachi's power. Itachi is strong, but he just kage level (one of the better kages, but still just kage level). He is not legendary level or rikudou level. Madara is rikudou level. Even edo Madara was low rikudou level.
