Why didn't gedo mazo gone?

We all know that gedo mazo is the personal summon of Nagato(or it is a summon of rinnegan) so why didn't it disappeared with the death of nagato. Please give me your opinion and answers about this.

Madara has the ability to summon the Kyuubi. Did you question why didn't the Kyuubi turn a goner when he died? The same thing goes for Jyraia and the boss toads. Being a summon only means you can be summon, meaning you can be anywhere else when not summoned.

Example Naruto can summon his SM clones but the clones where in mountzuma before, they did not appear from thin air and hadn't he release them I guess they could have gone back.
