Why did Tsunade left the village?

Under dire circumstances understanbly she loss her brother and boyfriend. But it still beg a question to why she left in the first place. Maybe her miscontempt with her inner self and the fact that her former loves wanted to be Hokage that it brought fear and shame to her?
