[Discussion] Why did Tobi lie to Konan?

My Second post today. I don't understand why no one noticed this.

Alright remember when Konan said Tobi can only continuously teleport for 5 minutes.

Konan trapped Tobi in her 6 billion explosive tags that would last for 10 minutes but he escaped somehow.

Tobi can teleport continuously for 5 minutes to dodge the explosions but what about the other 5 minutes what did he do?

Did he troll konan and teleported somewhere out of the distance and waited until the explosive tags were done?

Did he teleport to the dimension where he held sasuke and karin hostage?

Did he teleport back to his hideout and relaxed with Sasuke?

Sasuke: Your back. What happened to you? Your arm is gone.

Tobi: Konan's trying to kill me with her explsoive tags she set up for me that lasts for 10 minutes but I teleported here. So what you want to talk about for the next 5 minutes?

Sasuke: I don't know.

Tobi: I should lie to her and say I used Izanagi.

Sasuke: Go ahead I don't care.

Tobi: Alright I'm going to tell her I used Izanagi. I can't wait to see her face I know she thinks I'm dead.

Remember Izanagi only last 60 seconds. Unless Tobi had Hidden Sharingan covered somewhere on his body.

I don't believe he used Izanagi I believe he teleported to a safe area. He just shut his eye and lied to Konan saying he used Izanagi.

But some off you might disagree with me saying he did use Izanagi and since he has so many sharingans in his collection he can use Izanagi whenever he wants.

I think after he used izanagi he would not be trapped in the explosives judging from watching danzo use it. But I am unsure were you have to reappear after izanagi so it depends on that.

Every izanagi user has a different set amount of time they can have it active. Danzo used the first's cells to increase this time. Seeing as how tobi is most likely an uchiha, his time would be drastically longer than one minute.

Konan prepared an explosion that would last for 10 minutes since Tobi's intangibility limit is 5, she prepared an extra 5 just in case. So her original plan was for Tobi to be intangibile up until his limit and take Tobi down after those first 5 minutes.

However, after Konan's revelation of her plan, Tobi was forced to use Izanagi to mess illusion and reality because rather than wasting first 5 minutes and using Izanagi later on, Tobi decided to use it as quickly as possible.

Do u read the manga or watch the anime? Do u know how to read? It only lasts 60 seconds for someone who isn't a uchiha.

Even if Izanagi lasted 10 seconds, It gives enough time to Tobi to just go tangible than intangible again for another 5minutes -_-

I understand now someone already posted Tobi can extend the duration of his Izanagi because he's an Uchiha.

no, Tobi said his version of Izanagi is better than Danzou's, it was after he stabbed Konan when he was explaining who he is and what he wants to do.

Tobi used Izanagi better than Danzou, he sacrificed an eye for it, which he later replaced with Nagato's rinnegan. The whole part was just to let us know exactly how powerful Izanagi can be in case anyone was still wondering after Danzou's power exhibition... and Tobi's version is pretty damn scary.

Lol what, Tobi clearly said his izanagi was different to danzos which was an incomplete version. Also he couldnt have teleported anywhere since he has to become solid first and that will make him vulnerable to the explosive tags. Sheesh doesnt anybody read the manga properly.
