For Kaguya all they had to do was touch her simple. With Madara they double teamed him with magnet release rasengan and sage chakra chidori, were they not gonna put Madara in a moon? I mean if they did a big chunk of the earth would be destroyed along with it, would that have just been a nessesary sacrifice? But then what's the use of shukaku rasengan and sage chidori if they'd be touching him regardless because those attacks aren't long range anyway? So I guess they weren't gonna seal Madara in a moon but Kaguya was different because she was the source of all chakra the seal was designed for and was in a different dimension where creating a moon wouldn't destroy Earth. Or am I missing something?~...

True, but that's just plothole. By that point in time, Kishi already knew he was going to revive Kaguya, so he needed to preserve their ultimate jutsu for her.
No the shukaku rasengan had shukaku' sealing pattern so it was a way to seal him without the moon seal. Moon only triggers for Kaguya.

The fact that both Naruto and Sasuke knew about the Moon and Sun Seal draw concerns as it was never mention in Manga until Kaguya's revival. So to say they seals was meant for Madara also, is a plot-hole, as their attention of sealing Madara with those seals were never stated or foreshadowed.

limbo swap negates any killing blow, including the moon/sun seal.

Kaguya turns into the statue when she's defeated and goes back where she belongs.
Madara can substitute his body with limbo or whatever summoning he has in his arsenal.
So sealing him like they did kaguya would be impossible since he can escape a lot easier than a staue can.
