Any mod care to explain why the R U Surprised thread was closed?

Because I considered that to be the Spoilers thread of this week. The general one got accidentally closed last week, so I let this one open till the new chapter was released. As there is now an official chapter discussion thread, you can go there or make threads covering individual topics.
