My guess is was because it was trash. The ONLY decent fight with great animation was the final parts in Heuco Mundo mainly, Ichigo VS Grimmjow, Ichigo VS Ulqureia, and Ichigo VS Aizen. Every other fight had lazy animation. Not going to lie, SOME of the main battles were decent. But nothing like those mentioned above.

Also, the amount of irrelevant filler was just wrong on so many levels. Are these the reasons as to why it was cancelled?

That would be part of it, but you also have to look at how many chapters were being crammed into the episodes. When they made the Bount Arc, to try putting more distance between the anime and the manga, people were throwing fits.

Then they moved to little mini fillers, like Franken Ichigo that were put in at the wrong places story wise and had nothing to do with the main story. When they finished the Fullbringer arc they were close to the manga, in that at 3 chapters a episode they could reach the manga.

At least with the Naruto fillers, the pirates filler in Shippuden and the 100+ between the VOE and Naruto leaving, the fillers fit the story. I know people who didn't read the manga who thought the filler was the actual story. Bleach, it's obvious what fits the story and what doesn't.

It was very close to manga. If they intented to continue anime, they would need more fillers and that would be very bad, so they canceled it. Anime lost many fans because of fillers. Their timeing was horrible imo.

- Some episode of Bleach: Ichigo need to fight Ulquiorra, he goes to place where Ulquiorra is.
- Next episode: Ichigo with others are in Soul Society fighting zanpakuto spirits. Just pff..

My guess, many people lost interest. I'm not a big fan of Bleach, but I did follow the anime on Toonami. I always found it strange how the story would bounce around from place to place. I was never sure what was canon and what wasn't and in the end I completely dropped it. Bad writing might be my guess as why it was dropped. Also I don't think Studio Pierrot was pick Bleach back up, at least that what some of my friends have told me.

It was getting FAAARRR too close to the manga. Aizen was defeated in the anime about 5 weeks after he was defeated in the manga, that should put things in perspective. I honestly believe they thought the manga would end with Aizen's defeat.

After that, if the anime would continue, there would likely be more filler than canon episodes, so they cancelled it.

Anime was to close and they didn't wanna fill the gap with more fillers which was the main reason why people didn't watch it which cost them money. They will probably animate it when the series is over

As others have said, anime got way to close to the manga.also, kubo makes huge panels,so less happens in one chapter. That was part of the problem

The fillers just killed it, and the ratings were dropping. Too little people liked it and they were losing too much money, so it was cancelled.
So all this true?Hm that is quite surprising; I was quite fond of the manga so I began watching bleach after I had read all the manga to date; only 2-3 fillers were actually annoying. Don't get what's the big deal since bleach fillers>Naruto for sure, and yet they still have such high ratings and views and stuff.Truly baffling.

Most Bleach filler were irrelevant. At least Naruto filler followed the correct timeline.

It is true. They started filler arcs right in the middle of fights... lmao.
