it was her dad, or another way to hint at what connie said. I dont think its a spoiler now if you put 2 & 2 together so.

No hole in the wall; connie saying the titan reminded him of his mom; the position of said titan on top of the house; the missing villagers; and her quote "stop it dad"

Conclusion: titans didn't come from outside, they were villagers turned into titans
