Maybe, to show that with the rinnegan, you don't bleed EVERY TIME, using Amaterasu.

It probably did it was just that the panel changed before it was shown. Madara dodging ftg and this fight is just as fast.... People seem to forget how quickly things are happening in the manga currently.

From what I can tell, he didn't use Amaterasu to much before the fight and the reason is bleeds the next time is because of the fact the more you use it, it strains the eye and exhausts Itachi and Sasuke... due to the fact it takes a lot of chakra and eventually could blind them.
