The whole point of Gaiden was that to make Karin the mom but Kishi gave up and has Karin one panel the entire thing thus ending the supposedly 50 chapter series into 10.
It's just demanded the most by people. Even kishi stated he does not know why Sakura loves him, he states that she is addicted to him. He said nothing about Sasuke's feelings about Sakura too.
He had plans for Karin and Sasuke, heck, he gave more romance with those two than sakura ever gotten even after they were married.
So please stop asking. SasuSaku is official due to popular demand. That is all.

Looking at the polls currently I can guess that likely most of you guys are right with the leading choice
especially since Kishi didn't want to explain how it was plausible since he would say it would feel contrived

Reedemed Sasuke loves Sakura but Kishi didnt let SS have a happy ending so he can make some drama for the Gaiden. Honestly Sasuke should have ended up alone. Yeah if the forehead poke indicates that its love then so be it then but come on Sakura could have ended up with Rock Lee, she literally left him hanging and Sasuke being the Avatar of the world without getting held back by emotional ties is much better for his characters. Kishi made NH work perfectly, well set up story if you have seen the Last.

Before Femme comes in with some Fanfiction of SS, it's either Kishi giving Sakura her man out of sheer pity or Sasuke doing it out of guilt for trying to kill her.

Too much logic! People on this site think that Sasuke was an evil killing machine who would only reconcile with kakashi and naruto while ignoring Sakura. They also ignored most of the manga apart from explosions and they think that Sasuke hating Sakura, marrying her out of guilt or to get a child and having an affair with Karin makes sense in Naruto, the shounen series.
