Why did Sasori jump into the trap knowing he would die?

Why did Sasori knowingly jumped into Chiyo's attack?

Chiyo pointed out that he could have avoided the attack but he didn't

Did he feel bad when Chiyo (His Grandmother) showed up? Or did he regret being a puppet and wanted to end his life?
He was talking about how his art (his puppet body) would last forever unlike a human body & jumping in Chiyo's attack was the opposite of his ideals. And also, He shouldnt have told Sakura the Spy's location, It's his spy afterall right?

What do you think is the real reason behind his death?
People think that maybe the real, REAL Sasori was controlling this Sasori and he didn't Actually die. But that theory is kinda far-fetched.
