Why did people hate about Kage Summit?

I hear a lot comments that say 'part two was great but went downhill after Pain arc'.Personally I thought even the kage summit was good (even though the naruto/sasuke confrontation could have been better.Ultimate ninja storm 3 nailed it!).

so my question is what things don't people like about the summit arc

Pain arc sucked... Kage summit was actually decent. I liked Sasuke's new point of view but that's pretty much it. When the kage summit arc ended, things went so damn boring yet again.

Let's just say that Sasuke made things more interesting.

I agree. The 5 Kage arc was good to me. First time Sasuke looked like he might become a legit villain. Naruto nose dived after that until Madara was revived.

I personally enjoyed it as characters such as Naruto, Sai, and Sakura (IMO, don't flame me) received some nice character development and I enjoyed the inner conflict that Naruto had when he contemplated on how he handle his friendship with Sasuke. That was some great maturity on his part. I personally enjoyed it, but that's just my opinion.

Newly established power levels were no longer new and flashy like when they were in the Pein Arc; they'd become the new norm. For many, that would've detracted from the excitement.

I thought it was a good arc though. Sasuke got a lot of character development, we finally got to meet the other three Kage and there were some nice interactions. The anime made Sasuke vs. Danzo memorable too.

Few reasons for why it was horrible.

1. Naruto begging for Sasuke's actions.

2. Sasuke getting carried away and attacking the 5 Kages whereas he could have just gone for the man who sabotaged his brother immediately.

3. The team 7 reunion didn't consist of a Naruto vs Sasuke right there. Sasuke had to take a break because of his deteriorated eyesight.

The Pain Arc will be the last arc that was memorable and interesting.

Yeah I liked bad sasuke too.I was greatly disappointed when he switched sides again. the fickle bastard!

Imo everything was good until Edo Tensei was introduced. It was unrealistic for Kishi to think he could display the feats of every shinobi legend without nerfing a majority of them and making them look like fodder.

Minato was a copy paste of Naruto and Kimimaro was soloe'd by a puppet when in reality they had so much more potential. The only decent Edos were Madara and the two Kages that fought Gaara.

The kage summit arc was beautiful in my opinion it was just so well done and action packed plus the pacing was pretty on point sasuke also had some of his most badass and epic moments / lines in this arc

From the epic genjutsu to cee to the talk with garra to the sussano reveal to the epic clash between sasuke and mifune all the way up to sasuke standing over a defeated danzo the current hokage looking down on him saying in a battle of the eyes dont mess with the uchiha...

In my opinon sasuke finally got redemeption at that point danzo was the worst person in this manga selfish power hungry would sacrifice others but not himself and he made itachi do those horrible things to the clan which in turn made sasuke do what he did kishi just had that panel done so well and as a fan of sasuke and his struggle i was very satisfied with that arc

Well, others stated the reasons. I watched that arc for 2 straight weeks and even skipped 2-3 lectures because I was so obsessed with it. It was the first time, I felt Sasuke was Sasuke at his core and I never seen anyone fall in such a dark path before. Well, the whole him going against Itachi's wish but hey a lot of people would have done the same thing as him, if they was to find out about how his sibling was used and how his family was taken by a place he used to call home. So yeah, it really an eye for an eye. As extreme as Sasuke was it's the truth.

Kage summit sucked with too many asspull saves for Sasuke. IMO Sasuke should have died during Kage summit or when he was fighting Danzo. This would add development to the story and most of the characters in K 11

The new introduced characters and the political plot was nice, but the reason why I call the Kage summit arc bad, is the change in power-levels.

Everything that was portrayed to be "powerful" before, was overshadowed by the new characters. Legendary powers like Amaterasu and Susanoo became average and ordinary techniques, which made it very boring to me. The Kage summit is where the spam of high-tier techniques began and continued to happen on a daily basis. If I want to watch a series with delusional powerlevels, then I go watch DBZ. Naruto didn't need that. This arc was basically the beginning of Naruto's immense downhill-trip.

I will tell you why the KAGE summit sucked. It had the made Sakura have the worst character destruction I have ever seen a character get. It made Naruto the main character and hero from the Pain arc just before look like a little *****. I mean he let's Kauri kick his ass, then begs on his knees to the Raikage like a beggar, and then he hyperventilates and passes when he finds out his boyfriend attacked the Kage summit. Also the one good part in my opinion which was Sasuke going crazy and full dark side has no follow through and becomes pointless because of how he acts during the war.

nobody came to save naruto. Pain being tired after he fought an entire village by himself is his decision, and for the most part it wasn't senseless fighting is was a clash of morals. Thats why ppl loved the pain arc.

Naruto getting captures was not obvious to me, since he is Jinchuuriki and can go batshit crazy.

Sasuke goes up against heads of villages - survives.
Pain goes up against the entire village - survives.

Sasuke gets carried away - survives.
Pain gets carried away - survives.

Sasuke in a weakened state (after fighting Kage), fights the last enemy (Danzo) - survives.
Pain in a weakened state (after fighting shinobi of the village and destroying it), fights the last enemy (Naruto) - dies/gets tnj-ed.

I'm sure you can see the tendency.
