Why did Orochimaru want Sasuke's Sharingan?

It's so silly imo. Sasuke omly had 1 pair of Sharingan, Orochimaru acted as if that pair was the last of its kind.

Orochimaru worked with Danzo right? Why didn't he ask Dazo for a pair of sharingan eyes? Danzo had loads of them in stock. Why didn't Danzo share only two sharingan with Oro? They were acquaintances right?

It makes the whole Part 1 look so silly :/

I didn't say anything about the body. Oro was obsessed with the eye itself. If he wanted 1 so badly he could have got one before chasing after Sasuke

He didn't want to be a "Kakashi". He wanted both body and eyes to use the Sharingan's potential, learn every Jutsu in existence, and become the "ultimate being".

and the specific thing he wanted was sasuke as a whole, his body includes his sharingan. which is why his jutsu is body possession. he could have simply taken his sharingan in part one if thats all he wanted

No, he and Kabuto hypothesised that Senju + Uchiha = Rinnegan which was correct until Hagoromo showed up. Zzz

Because it wouldn't make sense to take a sharingan, without the body, and then go try and find an uchiha body, so you can obtain the sage of 6ths path strength.
