Why did Obito's sharingan awaken?

Tobirama stated that when a Uchiha loses something they love, the tumour in their brain triggers which activates the sharingan. But Obito didn't lose someone, he just saw Kakashi in danger, so how did he trigger it?

It was because of kakashi getting slashed. Kakashi was his rival so the thought of him getting hurt or killed would have ruined his rivalry with him and that pissed him off. Not to mention that was his comrade and teammate.
