Why did Obito warp back to the battlefield?

Was he planning to revive madara before he dies so Madara can continue the Moon's eye plan?

I had the same question. It seemed like he had something planned, but the only thing he could do right now is either seal the juubi in himself, or revive madara, and madara seems to be controlling obito's body as of right now.

Obiot simply wanted to see how the war was going, and he needed to get out of the kamui world otherwise kakashi may have finished him off, due to obitos disadvantages, btw Madara dosent give two s**ts about he moons eye plan hes just a selfish bas**** that simply wants power. As for Obito wanted to be sacrificed well thats a no, Its obvious Obito docent like madara, and he certainly isnt going to sacrifice himself for that a-hole besides wants the point in going through with the mines eye and bringing rin back if hes not there?

He was gonna try and make himself the jinchuuriki. He had to get away from Kakashi before he would finish him. He seems to be have some distance between him and the battlefield so I'm thinking he had a plan to recuperate and recover enough to the point where he could become the jinchuuriki himself.

Obito lost the "battle", meaning Kakashi beat him in his current state, he most likely went to the battlefield to become the Juubi host then kill Kakashi, therefor winning the "war".

Because he was getting domd by Kakashi also because he just wanted to become the jinchuriki....I dont think he expected Madara to help him as he was the one that states that they werent friends to begin with

As everyone else said, he planned on becoming the Juubi host after recuperating but now I think Madaras will in Obito will force him to Rinne Tensei Madara.

We was pissed he fell for the trap in fighting Kakashi in close combat with Kunais. He felt sadend he was still talking about a 10 year old girl name Rin when he is in his 30s and pissed Kakashi made new friends and met real women. He needed a breather

He lost the fight against Kakashi as he himself said, staying there wouldnt have made sense as only death was awaiting him.

He obviously thought Madara would help him as Obito was the sole opportunity to be brought back to life.... without Obito Madara is doomed to be an Edo tensei.

Obito didnt expect Madara to have planted his own chakra stakes into him tho, which now turned him into a puppet.

So yeah Madara is currently controlling Obito through the rods in his body and is currently forming the Rennei Tensei seals.



Also remember (in case you're complaining about plot no jutsu from Madara) that Madara had planted these rods long ago.

When Obito went on a rampage to kill the Bloody mist minjas... the rods came out of his body... so while we did not understand the meaning of this back then now we know that it was Madara.

After all, Madara, when exlaining the gedo mazo and etc.... said that the rods were HIS materialisation of chakra/hated.
