And he understand what a shinobi was and his teachings were passed on to kakashi and team 7

Maybe he was just angry, like he didn't want to kill anyone specifically he just wanted to wreck some havoc.
Also he did kill all of those mist shinobis in anger. That seemed like revenge. Maybe he didn't want to kill Kakashi cus he was his friend or something, maybe eventually he cooled off.
And he did fight Minato.

Kishi lost sight on Obito's goals are.
Obito lost himself and only became a tool for the IT. He stopped caring about the world and just wanted to sleep and dream in heaven but in order to do that, he has to cast IT.
So overall, he is not a bad guy intentionally because his stance is that the end justifies the means. So to him, he truly is saving the world from complete utter ruin of mankind.

No, he didn't attack the village for the sole purpose of killing Minato.
He did it because he was pretending to be Madara and that's what Madara would have done. Now very few people/ characters actually witnessed him do this but all the fandom did. So essentially, it was a way for Kishi to convince us he was actually Madara. That, and people like Itachi did end up believing he was Madara because of it.
