Why did Obito betray Madara?

I've been thinking, why did obito betray Madara? It seems both of the want the same thing: to put everyone under the genjutsu.

Adding that to the fact that obito said he was Madara, then we find out he lied, but then the real Madara shows up, and Obito still choses to have his identity kept a secret with no real purpose...

it just seems to me like Kishi is writing the story to have as many twists as possible without actually justifying those twists.

Maybe I read wrong, but didnt Obito know that Madara was going to take his life? wasnt that the arrangement they had? Sorry if im wrong about that, but I havent been following the story too closely. IIRC, obito was to use the rinnegan to revive madara the same way nagato revived all the ppl from konoha.

well that's what madara wanted. obito didnt want to do it so madara was going to force him to do it. They never agreed to do it. They wanted Nagato to use rinne tensei on madara but that didn't work out.

Obito had no intention to bring Madara back right from the getgo,Kabuto ruined his plans.When Madara was summoned,Obito played along waiting for the opportunity to become the Juubi jin.

I gues he never wanted team with madara , he wanted to revenge maybe more or other plans , but i doubt that he planned help madara

Why does Obito not using his partial teleportation jutsu anymore? I mean it cant be that he just avoid it because he feels that much almighty...

And the strangest thing was the summoned toad attacked Obito like it knew this would work. What a coincidence
Anyway hope this will end logical. Still waiting for a very good explanation why Madara seems to know Nagato so well.
