I mean nothing happened really in terms of story...
they could have freed the Biju without him being a Jin...
they could have seen the God Tree without him being a Jin...
they could have talked to him and had flashbacks with him being a Jin...
I mean him becoming powerful was cool, but he should have done something with his power, all it was used for was to show how powerful Tobirama and Sasuke are and Minato and Naruto's Bond...
and they didn't even explain his weird technique...
