what actually happened? there is just no way that he'd just trip from losing balance... and Edos don't get exhausted...

I guess he just tripped. I don't see any glaring reason why...except that he may have no arms so it throws off his balance? Also it looks as though his SM wore off very very quickly. I'm addled at some of the choices Kishi is making lately. _@:
