Why did Madara give Nagato the Rinnegan?

I was thinking about for a while and it's been confusing me. Madara gave Nagato the rinnegan before he died and Tobi basically watched over him until he was an adult. Tobi and Madara knew eachother well according to Kishimoto and text from the manga. Why didn't Madara just give Tobi the eyes and have him resurrect him immediately? I don't understand the plan. I know Tobi betrayed Madara by not having Nagato revive him, but I don't understand why some random kid was given them. Could someone please elaborate?

tobi's role was probably to fake being madara until he was supposed to revive him

I'm not completely sure whether or not it was really Madara's Rinnegan that was transplanted into Nagato.

But if it turns out that it is, it could be because Madara and Tobi knew Nagato has high chakra reserves which allows him to use the Rinnegan more efficiently than some random person. Along with the fact that Nagato had a traumatizing past which could give them an opportunity to manipulate him by using his past "pain".

I think what happen was after madara on timely death he gave his eyes too nagato with the rinnegan activated but it's hard to tell if he did or didn't cause Nagatos hair was always covering his eyes..also in the manga madara thought that the person that revived him was nagato so he did knew him..as for tobi I don't believe alot of what he says isn't true because he pretends he is someone else like madara but yeah idk he does talk alot of bullshit I think he says it like that is because he created akatsuki and like he said nobody quits and i guess ones you are a member he owns you lol but it is weird how he knows so much about madara..madara knows about him and that he took his name to strike fear but at the same time madara is not faced...as for why didn't madara give tobi the eyes to revive him ??if you think about it madara is a loner why would he in trust his eyes to someone like Tobi if he isn't going to revive him kinda doesn't make sense but I guess we just gonna have to wait for a few chapters to come out explaining.

If he gave him -I say if- Than because Nagato is an Uzumaki with huge chakra reserve and than what most Pain Paths abilities need to work especially Rinne tensei which Tobi stated that it would be used for him/Madara

Using Rinne Tensei takes a damn lot of chakra and Tobi could be killed if he used it. Instead they gave the eyes to an uzumaki/uchiha (probably) child who first of all could use the rinnegan because of his uzu/uchi dna and because he would have enough chakra. Tobi and Madara worked together. Nagato didn't work together with them, he was just a pawn. When he grew up and was ready to use rinne tensei, Tobi would just use genjutsu on him and ress Madara possibly killing Nagato either through the reviving process or himself

Tobi didn't have the chakra, at the time, to be able to summon the Daidarabotchi from the moon and needed an Uzumaki to pull it down so it could thereafter be summoned from a location more local and useful, so that he could carry out his Moon's Eye Plan. And how did Tobi get the eyes? The Uchiha Clan probably stole them from Madara's body, and Tobi, as Setsuna Uchiha, stole them from the shrine where they were kept. Every elite jonin has a genin team, and Setsuna was in Madara's, I bet, which is why Madara spoke of a plan with Tobi, since Tobi, as Setsuna, likely made certain promises to his sensei.

Becouse the uzumaki were distant relatives from the senju they have the body power of the sage of six paths. Its the same reason why madara needed senju dna. both the eye power and body power form the rinnegan. (well thats what i think)

Uzumaki's aren't brats they have the most powerful sealing techniques in the whole ninja world, they kick ass, and their chakra levels are off the charts why do you think they were annihilated.

Rinne Tensei only takes up alot of chakra, it wasnt stated that if you use it you die. Thats why Konan feared the worst for Nagato when he used it , since he had so little chakra left.
